Attorney Charles Lynch
As an attorney concentrating in family law matters and being of counsel to Kademenos, Wisehart, Hines & Lynch Co., L.P.A., Charles D. Lynch considers himself part lawyer, part counselor, and part comforter. His role as an attorney involves providing compassionate advocacy and counseling during some of the most emotional and stressful times for families. Attorney Lynch has been in law practice for 40 years, including more than 30 years of experience handling family-related matters such as divorce, dissolution, property division, child custody, child support, and adoption. He puts his significant depth of experience to work on behalf of families like yours every day in domestic relations courts in Richland, Crawford, Ashland, Huron, Morrow and other counties.
He served as Chief Magistrate for the Richland County Domestic Relations Court for eight years, which gives him a unique perspective on how family courts function in Ohio. He has an insider’s understanding of how domestic cases are handled and decided. He uses that knowledge to get the outcome that is in the best interests of each person or family he represents.
He also helped to create the child support enforcement agency in Richland County, Ohio, while serving as a municipal attorney. That experience gives him skillful insight into the process of child support enforcement and how it affects families.
In more recent years, he expanded his practice to include acting as a mediator in domestic relations cases. He completed specialized training required by the Ohio Supreme Court to act as a divorce and family law mediator.
Lynch is a native of Illinois who moved to Ohio as a young man to attend the College of Wooster. He majored in English literature and minored in psychology. He was inspired to attend law school because he knew that law would allow him to help other people while also enjoying an intellectual challenge.
Since earning his law degree from Ohio Northern University, his career has taken him on a varied path, including spending time as a prosecuting attorney. He rejoined the private practice after having served as a domestic relations magistrate. In private practice, he chose to continue helping families through challenging and emotional domestic relations matters.
Outside of law practice, Lynch enjoys traveling with his wife, singing in his church choir and staying active by exercising, bicycling, and kayaking.
